Hi

Anyone recommend a good company for trailer insurance. Have new trailer coming in next few days, Woodford trailer for my atom, and thinking if cheap I will get insured. Had a quick look on Google but can't find any obvious companies.

Thanks all

Interesting.

I have never bothered to insure mine. Very secure at home with clamp and behind locked gates. Only place it could be stolen would be at a track day which I would hope would be very, very unlikely!

Out of interest, what sort of premium are we looking at?

I didn't realise a-plan did trailers but that is who my car is with. £100 for 11 months when I phoned them.

Like you I doubt it would get stolen but for £100 it seems worth doing, if it did get nicked then at least I can buy another one !

I have my trailer, non-road legal track car and tools insured with RyanMI. Covers storage and transport in case anything happens whilst I’m trailering the car anywhere as well as when they’re parked up at home or away.

i spent ages on this, also bought a woodford trailer recently and non-road legal radical.
quotes from multiple places. In the end ryanmi gave me the most competitive quote, using Hiscox - storage at home and transit insurance.
Easy to reach, responsive on telephone, was the added bonus.
I did think about going with moris initially but they wanted datatags on everything and i didnt see the point.
