Brands hatch Dec 7th
Discussion
I did a track day there a few years back on 2nd December.
Apparently some joker the previous week had done a complete lap of the Michael Mouse circuit spewing oil everywhere, and they had had to scrub the track. I can only say it was like driving on ice, which would not be my choice in a 300 bhp+ 1060 kg rear wheel drive car at the best of times.
I managed 5 laps in the entire morning - it was cold and a heavy drizzle all day.
Going around Clark Curve at 35 mph in a full sideways slide towards the gravel trap made me wary, but sliding down Graham Hill in the correct direction, but withe car at 90 degrees to the intended, at 25 mph fully locked up was the final straw. 25 mph on a track day, and this still happens, put the tin hat on it for me. Not my idea of fun. Knocked it on the head after lunch and drove the 140 miles home.
Never been back since.

Your car sounded great and was going very well, impressive to watch the car squirming around on the brakes as you approached Clearways on most laps!QBee said:

I think I may have done 2 laps, nearly binned it several times, (another TVR) and drank tea and coffee for the rest of the day......like ice indeed!

We were there... 25 of us! We do that day as the Christmas party of all of us that compete with Sevenoaks & District Motor Club, done for nearly 10 years now. I personally have done over 2,500 lapse that place, and that Friday was as slippery and dangerous as I had ever done there, it was awful!!!
