Circuit Days dates are up as far as July, discounts apply until the end of this year

Most days are up with www.opentrack.co.uk but I believe they're still waiting for some circuits to confirm.

Worth the extra? Fed up of red flags and wondering if spending more solves it…Less bout the social aspect, which suits me better tbh.

So far, yes, ive done 4 to date, they tend to be noisy days and some of the racers use them so it helps if you’re in something quick so as not to be looking over your shoulder all the time, you get some very nice historic race cars there to which are great to hook onto the back of and listen to...
That does sound quite appealing. Especially compared to some days I've read about lately and the amount of red flags!LeroyLoser said:
...easily worth the extra as the track day cost itself is by far the cheapest part anyway vs tyres, brakes, hotels etc
I struggle to agree with this bit though (for my personal circumstances), which does make it a bit harder to justify. It looks like Donington is £579 with them. For me that would just about be enough to cover getting the track day direct with MSV, a hotel, cover brake and tyre wear, and a tank or two of fuel.
Obviously that is very car (and hotel) dependant. Something heavy and powerful could do £600 worth of wear in tyres alone I guess.

Its a fair comment, it all depends on what you are running car wise (£800 for me on parts) It looks like Donington is £579 with them. For me that would just about be enough to cover getting the track day direct with MSV, a hotel, cover brake and tyre wear, and a tank or two of fuel.

where you like to stay (i like to make the whole trip an occasion inc. food) £300
And how much the plebs annoy you, either not moving over or crashing off and causing constant red flags, like the hoards at donnington recently
If i think about how precious time is (i’m older) and how much i look forward to & enjoy track days, plus the effort i go to in organising the day, if an extra £3-400 on the track day itself ensures (or at least improves) the chances of an epic day, then i think thats money well spent when you think of the possibility of the day being ruined, you can never get that time back.
Not saying i wouldnt do the cheaper days, some of the tdos are very good at filtering the idiots, some not so, Javelin are not imo.
I guess wasted time is more important than money to me but i appreciate that’s a luxury position that not everybody has, i never want to take that for granted but i’ll use it whenever possible.
I managed to chase a 1980s zakspeed capri lap after lap at donnington at an rma day, amongst other d-types and cobras sliding around as if at Goodwood revival, i’ll never forget that, one of my best days ever and you cant put a price on that, i’d never have got that chance at a cheaper day.

Yeah, that all makes perfect sense. where you like to stay (i like to make the whole trip an occasion inc. food) £300

Although my car is reasonably fast, it's relatively light so consumable cost is quite low. I normally just travel by myself too so I'm happy with a cheap bed and an early night.
I think more importantly I've been very fortunate so far in terms of difficulties on track. Despite never paying for the higher end track days, I've never really had any events with enough red flags or bad driving to annoy me. I'm sure I'd only need one or two of those to start thinking an extra couple of hundred quid is well worth the money.
Having seen a few facebook posts and videos over the last few weeks, I think if there was any circuit where I'd want to pay a bit extra next year...it's Donington.
