Hi
I have a full roll cage in my track car with a X brace on the rear. I assume the best olace to mount a go pro is on the x mount itself, near the cross. The mounts i’ve seen all rotate along the base, but it would cause the camera to be tilted due to the x brace bar being at an angle. Are there any mounts for a go pro that can mount to an x brace and also be moved to be straight?

Any like this allow you to mount the camera to a diagonal and get it straight.

Just search for "go pro mount" on ebay, I'll bet there are somewhere near 23,000,000 for sale & there will be every answer to every possible mounting conundrum.
True, but all the 23,000,000 are not worth having, most are chinese st that doesnt fit well, twists when mounted so you end up with dodgy camera angles, etc. Ask me how I know. It's tougher than one thinks to find a solution without spending days trawling through the web and many failed attempts until you can conjure something up.
As with most, I ended up with a custom solution made up of a combination of parts. I had a mounting boss/threaded hole installed on the cage directly at the cross over point on the roof, then needed to find an extension bar from that point and a camera cradle/frame that allowed me to mount the camera at eye level between the two front seats. Still looking for a solution for the rear though as I did not preempt that when the cage was being fabbed.
