I've just always found it pretty chilled out with a nice mix of cars and doesn't seem to attract as many track "warriors" either. Also local so nice and easy.

They told me October

They have been filming the new band of brothers stuff.

However I have a friend of a friend acting in it and they are definitely nowhere near finished although I don't know how much the airfield is involved in the filming.

I have a credit with them and very keen to get back there as soon as possible

Ahhh, cheers for the update and the inside scoop.

Might be selling the current car and then will be without for a while. Really hoped to try and get a run there beforehand.

Go to your local Tesco, put some cones down and some oil in a few places, you then just need a mate to move the cones after each lap to add to the experience.

A colleague who is very close to everything that goes on at Dalton Barracks told me the filming was expected to last until Christmas when I was there a couple of weeks ago.

You can view the extents of the filming, the erection of the support buildings and new (temporary) control tower required planning permission. Have a hunt online.

I have actually been doing some extra work on the series.

Its has been used for a number of scenes but as another poster has put it's the main centre for productionoffices, covid testing, make up and costumes etc. They are location filming all around the area (one of my locations was didcot railway station) and buses are picking up extras from the location.

I'm still getting stuff through for this year so I cant see it being back in use until 2022. Its shame as I really enjoy the days here and very relaxed. (Also being 20 mins from home always helps! )
