Super car experiences
Discussion
I'd like to do one of the many supercar experiences but I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good one, with these criteria:
1. Track no further north than Oxfordshire (I'm in Surrey).
2. Budget £150
3. Multi-car rather than just one.
I don't really mind about the track being any good, more important is getting a decent amount of time actually driving (I want to take my 18 year old son to just experience some cool cars).

FWIW I would suggest something a little different. These driving experiences are really very poor. It's a conveyor belt to rinse you of cash. However pretty much any trackday will have genuinely cool cars (not just clapped out 'super'cars) and when you get talking to the owners they will most likely happily take your son out for a proper lap or two for fun.
I took a friend's son out at Oulton. After lap 1 he looked a little queashy. By lap 3 I had to pull over at the Shell hairpin for him to puke his guts up all over the crash barrier. He'll not forget that in a hurry!!

Thanks but I have a Caterham and I've been on a couple of track days and, yes, they're great but I don't mind paying the money to drive a few supercars I'll never be able to drive otherwise - it's about the driving yourself, not being driven. I'd probably puke if I was a passenger in my car on a track :-)

I think what he’s saying is that for £150 you have zero chance of actually properly driving a supercar and that a friendly word at a decent track day will be more effective in getting your son into a properly fast machine driven by a committed owner.
Hope it works out those memories can last a lifetime.

Nearly all the Supercar experiences are based on a 3 or 5 mile drive. They are about sitting in the car and telling your mates you have "driven a Lambo" and most defiantly not about "driving" them. Silverstone is the only place I know of where you are encouraged to "give it a go" but M2, 430 or Vantage is your choice but you will need to spend more than £150 if you want more than a 4 lap "Thrill."
I’ve done a few super cars driving experiences and been behind the wheel of a testarossa, Diablo, viper, F355 and a few others, honestly, not worth the money overall.
If you are a petrolhead I’d recommend heading to Bedford Autodrome and doing one of their experiences, within your budget is the M2 master but I’d wait, save some money and do a full palmersport day instead:

Neither me or my son are good enough drivers to be 4-wheel drifting, so just being able to say 'I've driven a Lambo' is enough - 3 laps is fine. I'm planning on a track day in my car for him to do a decent drive but, for now, we just want to drive a supercar - I don't expect 20 laps of pedal-to-the-metal action :-)
I did a Ferrari experience years ago and it was pretty good as long as you don't expect too much - I've sat in several supercars at shows but I want to drive them, even if its just at a gentle pace.
I'm guessing there is no one place better than another then? Maybe any specific companies I should avoid?

I did a Silverstone experience. Was a present for my 40th a few years ago. Drove a F430 and a V8 Vantage, 3 laps in each on a short version of the main track. Both cars were dual control with an instructor, but as mentioned above, they want you to and positively encourage you to go as fast as possible. On the day I think you can also pay extra to be driven around in other sorts of cars.
To be honest, it wasn't much driving but a good day out
