Not going & haven't been to Lydden but aside of that good choice of car, I have one also for track use.
Take your time, do short stints & keep an eye on others to learn from, tuition is always a good bet if they are doing it yet.
There are novice sessions so hopefully I’ll be in good company. 15 minutes each session, 6 of them. Sadly no tuition available due to the dreaded C19 otherwise I would have booked some up. I’ve done a bit of work on my Cooper S, 17% pulley and charger service, slightly bigger tyres and I have completely overhauled the cooling system, new water pump, hoses, header tank, radiator etc.Take your time, do short stints & keep an eye on others to learn from, tuition is always a good bet if they are doing it yet.
Fingers crossed that will have helped.

How did you get on?
Lydden is one of my favourite circuits and the track days they organise are usually really good fun.
Loved it. It was a real rush even though I was probably the slowest! All very well organised and, I'm not sure what I was expecting, but everyone on track was very respectful and safe. Car performed well, I was really chuffed with it. It burped a drop of coolant out in the first session but after that it was good as gold. There was a real mix off weather and track conditions and that added to the fun!Lydden is one of my favourite circuits and the track days they organise are usually really good fun.
Definitely booking again.
