I am thinking of nbooking an MSV trackday but don't want to thrash the car all day. Can I swap to my other car 1/2 way through the day to even the wear and tear?

Call them to confirm, but I don't think there are any track day organisers that restrict you to a single car. Turning up with more than 2 or 3 might be an issue however!

Their only stipulation will be that any car used will have to pass the noise tests.

That sounds good. Both cars will pas I would have thought, they are standard (ish) daily drivers.

I emailed them and they replied that it’s fine to do so. So all good, surprised they didn’t want to charge £50 admin fee, lol.

Anyway, all good.

why do you think your car would not last the whole day? If you are like most trackdayers, and spend almost as much time in the pits/paddock as you do out on track, you'll probably do less than 100 miles per day. Your car will take it unless its an absolute st box.

I have done 14 track days doing mostly 200+ miles per day in a old Renault and it takes it very well, chews tyres and brakes but not a lot else. If you are worried about brake and tyre wear, I can't see how running two cars would reduce that cost , more likely double it, even if the cost comes along half as quickly.

Thanks for your response. My wife has just bought a nice 2013 low mileage cooper S with coilovers, big 4 pot brake kit etc and fancied a go. I have a super low mileage Cayman S that I fancied a blast in to see how it goes.

I don't particularly want to subject the porker to a full on assault if I can share the load on what looks like a not particularly iconic track and at the same time my wife can do her first track day in her new toy..

Whilst I appreciate it's only tyres and brakes, my Porkers new tyres cost me over £800, brakes £400. I don't particularly want to snot them in one go, like I nearly did last year at Spa in my Golf 7.5R. Maybe I should drive a bit slower?

I’ve swapped with my brother’s car on a couple of days.
He pays as a driver. Half way through the day we swap cars, that we we both drive both cars.
