hi,
i have done a few track days in the past but not at anglesey. i have booked a track day there at the end of august with a few friends. anybody have any views on the circuit or any info that might be useful?

I found it a git to get to grips with, frankly. Its short and very twisty. Is with Bookatrack? Their instructor (Simon Mason?) is very good...but even with his advice I found it...challenging.
On no account go into the hairpin too fast. Not much runoff. I span there whilst trying to hard but got away with it thank goodness...very embarrassing.
Good fun though. I'll go back and give it another shot one day...
it is with track action, who offer complimentary track instruction. i dont know whether this means that they dont get any decent instructors, or that they might just be a well intentioned company. either way i will certainly be seeing what one of their instructors has to say on the day.

oh and also, i had heard that it was quite a twisty circuit, but that doesnt really bother me at the moment because the track day will either be in my Ka (not exactly a high speed thriller!) or a racing prepped 1965 mini. either way much fun to be had with a more twisty circuit than a series of long straights.

I had a great day there last year. The circuit is quite tight and twisty and probably suits caterhams/elises more than the Tiv, but is a nice circuit. Quite challenging, and as previously stated not much run off at the hairpin (enough to get away with a spin on exit though!). Personally I found looking at the Irish sea whilst going down the pit straight a little disconcerting. The only down side is there's not much shelter if the weather is bad.
It's not that twisty - I can have a good time in the M5, so anything smaller/lighter will be fine.
The only part I find a challenge in the uberbarge is the hairpin as 1st is too low, and 2nd too high - everywhere else is fine, just make sure you pick the right line into School for your car - the bigger the car the wider the line (or something like that - I take a middle constant-radius line)!

it's a great little circuit, plenty of challenges there. I have a few vids on my site if you want to get a heads up
