Anglesey Accommodation
Discussion
Six of us, 3 cars have booked to go do a track day at Anglesey on the 16th April, and it doesn't look like the rule of six is going to be relaxed so finding somewhere to stay is proving impossible.
We had planned on an airbnb for a couple of nights but doesn't look like its an option. Doesn't look like hotels are going to be open.......we are traveling up from Dorset so just too far to go there and back in one day.
Does anyone have any ideas where we can all stay, hopefully on the same site or in the same town? Any help gratefully received.
Edit to say anywhere within an hour of the circuit would do

Well, I thought that hotels were taking bookings but subject to relaxation of rules which at the moment precludes hotels, I think its just private, separate accommodation with no communal areas.
And as for truckers they are considered workers and work stays are still permitted.
I did speak to a pub owner and she told me that the Welsh tourist board was advising them that rooms could only be let to people who already lived in Wales. Havent read that anywhere else though.

That’s right unfortunately. I think it may extend to camping even. I’d book somewhere in Chester and whizz over on the day. Alternatively try a small private inn that may be more open to bending the rules. Tafarn y Rhos in Rhostrehwfa is in a handy position at the centre of the island and just off the 55.

Hotels are still closed. Under the “relaxed” restrictions Wales is still closed - only essential travel in/out. Only self contained accommodation allowed, and by inference only to people already living in Wales. It’s not particularly clear to me whether the regulations permit trackday events to take place.

As the rules stand currently I don't think you will be able to travel from England?
We are booked in the Premier Inn Holyhead for the the Javelin day on the 26th, but we are all from Wales and have booked a room each.
The hotels are allowed to open for people from Wales as long as they are 'self contained' or can provide sustenance in a non communal manner. In the case of hotels such as Premier Inns this translates to a poor, non cooked breakfast provided in a bag and left outside the door by the hotel staff. Hotels are also allowed to offer room service to guests, including drinks from the bar.
I believe track days are allowed to go ahead as they are classed as "outdoor sports courts or courses".
Staying close to the boarder the night before may be your best option, depending on the guidance from the UK Government on 12th April.

Hi All
The date is the key bit
The 'Rules' change again on the 12th April, after then you're good if travelling from England and should be for the 'self contained' accommodation too.
Personally though, if the weathers looking halfway decent i'd camp at the circuit, the facilities are OK and it's a lovely place to be on a lovely day.. if it's not you can take bets on who's wheelie bin will blow across the paddock the quickest..

Holyhead had a bit of an issue lately so worth keeping an eye on how that has developed - probable herd immunity there now!
