Racing Lines at Brands?
Discussion
I'm looking...but while I am, here's a link to a full UK guide you can buy www.circuitdriver.com/circuitguides/ukguide.asp
I would agree that the circuit guide gives a good overall feeling for the lines, but note that there will be slight differences depending on the car - single seater, saloon, caterham, etc, esp for your braking and turning-in points.
Nothing beats actually being on the track itself, especially the Indy circuit, because it's so short that being slow in just one corner will bugger up your qualifying position.
The absolute best bet would be to pay to sit alongside an instructor, who will show you the quickest lines, then you take over and just lap.
Or, make your way along this weekend for the BRSCC club races - keep your eye on a bloke called Rod Birley, in the BARC Saloon champs - he's won more races at Brands than most. That race will be on the Saturday.

Garret,
Hope the damage isn't too bad
Thanks Mike,
Car is a possible re-shell, I was hit VERY hard by a Class A (modified) Alfa that was lapping a car behind me. The car being lapped forced the other car onto the grass approaching Druids, lost all braking retardation, and slammed into me. Bugger!!!
C'est La Vie
Didn't really have the will to wath any more races, but hope you went well!
Yeah, saw it happen - real pity because you looked to be going well.
We end getting put in with the TVR Tuscans which are a fair bit quicker than our standard set up. Qualified 8th and was running 5 th until I braked too late into Paddock and had a trip to the gravel. Got out and ended up 6th so not too bad.
Hope you are up and running again soon.
