First bucket seat for cheap track car - Bimarco/OMP
Discussion
Evening chaps,
I've got a cheap Celica 190 as a track car and it desperately needs a more supportive seat. I've never done a seat before so not sure what works with what.
My requirements are
1. Must be cheap
2. Must be bolt in (cannot weld!)
3. Must slide
4. Must be able to use OEM seat belt (cage and harness won't happen for a while)
Hoping someone can confirm the following bits will work together before I click buy.
Seat:
Bimarco Cobra III (bottom mount)
https://bimarco.eu/en/bucket-seats/135-1128-bimarc...
Base with sliders:
OMP with sliding runners option selected
https://www.sportseats4u.co.uk/product/omp-toyota-...
Hardware:

Appreciate someone to confirm this little budget set up should bolt up

As it’s fixed back seat, it’s likely to be more reclined than your stock seat is. Just be careful with your measurements and make sure you still fit, the change will be an increased distance from your bum to the rear bulkhead. I changed the seat on my MX5 and used sliding brackets, it’s slightly more forward, I;items rearmost position, than I would like Check the width too and remember it’s not that easy to squeeze over the side of a bucket seat on a coupe....
looks good for this price. If you have money problem I recommend you to try sports gambling for Canadians https://parimatch-canada.com/. It's a place where you can relax and make good money spending only few hours per day, it's up to you, more you play more you win. I recommend to read some betting strategies before you start, it really gonna help you to get success. Good luck!

I think my only concern would be is the seat compatible with the subframe, i.e will the bolt holes line up ok? I can't see anything in the descriptions about that either way.
When I fitted a reclining Corbeau sports seat into my track car I bought a subframe from the same manufacturer whcih was designed for my car to make sure I wouldn't have any compatibility issues.
You may have already confirmed that they will fit together though?

Do try and sit in any seat before you buy it.
Agreed. I've bought various seats over the years and the only time I've actually been happy was when I went to GSM "Sportseats4u" and tried the whole shop out. I actually got a Bimarco Futura from them which I really like and was one of the best value seats they had in store, but I'm on the "chunky" side of things!Gassing Station | Track Days | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
