Off to Thruxton on Tuesday, but I'm guessing the rest of the track days for the month are off? Anyone know definitively?

I believe it’s down to the individual tracks as to whether they want to operate not the track day organisers.

They’ve all lost so much revenue this year that I’m sure they’ll want to stay operational.... I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Being in a different car from someone else feels as socially distanced as you can get. Was planning a couple this month as I happened to have a bit of time off!

Give them a couple of days to talk to the circuits and any other authority that's needed to make decisions. Don't forget all this happened on a Saturday and it's still Sunday. Most offices won't be open until tomorrow and I bet they've a got busy inboxes and answer machines.

Isn't the guidance no non essential travel? Driving to work when you can't work from home or caring for a relative for example is ok, driving to a track day isn't essential travel.

As said, things will be clearer in the week.

Driving for recreation is ok. That's the grey area.

Javelin have sent me an email to say that all days are cancelled from Thursday until at least 3rd December. At least I'll get a full refund for the day at Croft next week.

I can't see how a track day would be seen as "essential" even if it's work for the organisers & venues. I can't see a pub or restaurant owner being happy if that could continue but they couldn't. It's a gathering of people, no matter what precautions they take.

MSV have cancelled everything (which is what they are meant to do) issuing credits for 12 months, same as the first time round

They're doing refunds? That's unusual.

I believe that trackdays also fall under non elite sport & hence as well as the issue over non essential travel fell foul of other things. I had a day booked for Friday though feared the worst & sorned my car on Saturday evening. I bet the 2021 calendar gets booked up earlier than nornal.

The post-lockdown 1 track days all booked up very fast. I was booked on for Mallory on 14th November which is obviously cancelled. Very frustrating as I was all set to start track days this year. Will try again when/if lockdown 2 lifts.

Yes, it can't come soon enough. Tbf, I saved so much on my track day budget this year, I can go all out next year, if there is a next year.

Having said that, I was lucky to squeeze in a Cadwell Park yesterday.

Has anyone had any communication from Motorsport Events? I assume the November days will be cancelled but it would be good to get confirmation before I commit to other plans

My mistake. Full credit, not a refund. Presumably for another day next year, if we can do that by then.
