New to trackdays. Booked a couple of sessions through trackdays.co.uk

One was for tomorrow evening at Donington. Hadn't heard anything by email other than the booking receipt confirmation received end of last month so contacted them for them to say ah yes the organiser over sold places and has told us to ring round people to cancel. I hadn't received the call yet. Is this normal? How late do they normally leave it? They have offered full refund and as it happens the forecast looks pretty dire for tomorrow so I'm not that bothered but was quite looking forward to it. Have another booked so hopefully will get back out on track soon.

Sorry to hear that.

I'm not surprised though, as trackdays.co.uk is a reseller, not an organiser, and I've heard of problems with them other times.

I would be surprised if the TDO (track day organiser) oversold tickets for their event. Me personally would blame the reseller.

Try contacting the TDO, and check if your name is in the list.

EDIT: Seems like the actual TDO for tomorrow's evening session at Donny is open track.

Try giving them a ring beforehand rather than simply not showing up, just in case you do have the place.

Thanks, I wasn’t sure who was organising it as I didn’t get an email other than from trackdays.co.uk but yep in future I’ll definitely try and book direct.

Most booking sites will give the name of the TDO in the description. Once you've found that just go direct to their homepage.

If you're new I'd suggest booking a Novice day with MSV, they'll take extra care of you and you'll learn and enjoy it more
