Interested if anyone has heard of any tracks that have reopened for bookings?

I had a day at Abingdon cancelled so waiting to reschedule that
And I had a half day learning to drift at standlake that is being rescheduled.

Really keen to get to another trackday as soon as things reopen

The Ring is open, but I'm not sure how you'd get there (or any other open track) at the moment being non-essential travel.

We're allowed to drive any distance to exercise now. So as long as he does a few press-ups when he gets there...

(he will be put into quarantine for a fortnight upon his return though hehe )

Is one lap of the Ring on foot, for every lap in the car, enough to count as exercise?

I've only ever managed a full lap on foot during the N24.

Blimey - you must be one of the keen ones. I do recall hearing noisy V8s each year, but the N24, for me, is all about a week of techno and drinking in the woods laugh

(I do love the 3 hour classic race though - always make a point of coming out into the light to watch that. It's just consistently the most marvellous assemblage of racing metal I've ever seen)

I see that the N24 has been rescheduled to 24-27 September. That should actually deliver better weather than the usual May slot. Will have to see how 'All This' is affecting things closer to the time.

Sorry OP. I'm coming over all wistful. Back on topic...

MSV never closed their booking site, but it remains to be seen if the events scheduled for next week will really go ahead....

Blyton has reopened, shame as my car isn't ready yet!!

"Blyton Park Corona virus measures - update 11-5-2020
Due to the UK government announcing yesterday that returning to work is actively encouraged, we at Blyton Park are pleased to announce that given we are an outdoor activity we are now re-open and available for bookings so long as the customers adhere to strict social distancing rules."

i'm wondering what to do myself atm. was booked in for april at silverstone but that got canned and i have credit to use.
Javelin have cancelled their events upto 26th (from 17th) which has been updated in the last 24hours or so. I can book with them for their donington event 5th june although i'm in two minds about going through the hassle of another rebooking if it gets cancelled.

MSV havent updated their site since the 5th so no idea whats going on there but they still have listed events starting from 18th. https://shop.msv.com/Calendar/Trackday/Car.... only 5days away.

i see that golfing is allowed in the UK as it's naturally distanced. So are trackdays really but being a niche hobby, i doubt it'll be explicitly stated anywhere.

Blyton Park had a post on Facebook saying they were back open and operating, needs a Track Day Organiser to book it I guess and start selling it

We can't book any trackdays on Javelin or MSVT website until at least the 27th May. Some dates are still showing, but they won't let you book. Guess there is an update on extra cancellations coming soon/tomorrow.

I managed to book on the 5th May for Snetterton on the 4th June with Javelin. All confirmed. Just praying it doesn't now get canned!

from MSV Tackdays
"Good news – it’s been confirmed that trackdays will resume at all MSV venues (Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Oulton Park, Snetterton, Cadwell Park and Bedford Autodrome) later this month.

MSVT’s first operational date will actually be Monday 1 June, and there will be new measures in place to maintain social distancing, in accordance with government guidelines. Details of these new procedures will be on our website soon.

Our office is still closed, but we will start to re-open phone lines from this Monday (18 May) with significantly reduced staff numbers, working remotely from home. We anticipate a large number of enquiries so please only contact us if you have an urgent query. All bookings can be made online via the MSVT website."

Sounds good and I assume they will also reopen for third party TDOs, not just their track day. I'll be booking soon.

I'm booked up with javelin for donington on the 5th. MSV(T) confirmed open so i dont see why third parties would not run their events too. Javelin running their events from 2nd.
