I've done plenty of track days and motorsport events, but my usual track weapon (Mx-5) is looking unlikely to be ready for an upcoming track day at Blyton Park.
So, what car do I take instead?
My other car is a BMW Z3 (2.8l), which is quite nice and relatively low mileage. I'd definitely need to replace the front brakes before/during/after the track day if I were to take it.
Or is this a good excuse to buy a random cheap car that I care little about and thrash it round Blyton? With the idea of selling it after to recoup costs.
I think the sensible option is take the Z3 and accept the cost in consumables, what do you think?
