2 post car lift

Can anyone advise? I am looking for around a four tonne 2 post car lift single phase in the UK.
I have seen a lot of new and second hand on eBay. Second hand from about £500 and new from about £1200. Are these cheap new ones, cheap rubbish or worth their while? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I need it to lift from anything ranging from an MR2 to a Chevrolet pick up truck.

You're going to be stood under several tonnes of truck with 4 metal arms holding it up. Buy a quality one.

Make sure your floor is sufficiently robust and that the posts are securely fastened to it. Or else...
