Does anyone have any experience with toyo proxes t1-sport?
Any good for road/track use?

I've done a few days on pilot sport 4s but it's getting pricey with them so was looking at an alternative.

Thanks in advance smile

What size are your tyres?

What car is it?

Nankang NS2R are an excellent budget track tyre for mid-weight cars, I have used them on an e36 328 & Mini R53.

Have you tried looking for comparable prices if you were to get a spare set of wheels from ebay & go down to 18s?

A quick google shows these Toyos are at least 5 years old and were below average in (road) tyre tests back in 2015/16. I expect they're cheap and that you'll get what you pay for... They will be quite a step down from latest Michelin tyres.

I have them on my Mk2 MX-5 and they are truly awful tyres on road and I would say borderline scary on track, I had them put on last year as I used them many years ago and they used to be decent but they are really not. I'll be ditching them before I do any track days this year. I can imagine they will be even worse on a BMW.

I can't stress enough avoid them like the plague

This is what I wanted. Some real life experience not some Google biased opinion.

Thank you I will avoid them and bite the bullet for the ps4s again

It does just confirm the google biased opinion though. hehe

Moving to 18 inch wheels is a good suggestion.

I've used Federal 595 (semi slick - 18inch) on a M135i for a number of years on track and road. Always found them to be good, albeit don't last too long....

Have a look at AD08Rs. A good performance tyre that can take some abuse on track.

I'd suggest aiming for spare rims and get two sets smile.

thread hijack, but while everyone is here....
any experience of new TR1?
the old and original T1R was not well liked, to put it mildly.

If you are getting that size of Michelin for £165 fitted you are doing well!
Go with Kumho PS91, you should be paying around £120 fitted in 255 35 19 (well you would from me anyway) and ignore the Toyo.
