Nürburgring TF ticketing

Does anyone have experience of using the current ticketing system? I believe that a QR code on my mobile can be used at the ticket booth instead of having a card - is that correct?

Do I just need to have laps paid for on my account and show the qr code at the ticket booth?

I am struggling to find clear directions and online.

That's basically it - but I tend to use the card instead as the scanners tend to have issues with the sun & reflective phone screens - and you risk dropping your phone when you try to scan it.

The card is linked to your account, so you can reload without going to the ticket office, and you can keep track of what you've spent & got left.

If you lose your card, then you just ask for another.

Thanks. Can the card be obtained on the day from the diner near the track entrance (from memory there's a ticket office there? It's been a while!)?

Ticket office is now in the overflow car park across the road.

You can buy laps at the ticket office or online.
If you buy online you can also go to the ticket office and they will transfer your laps onto a card which is considerably more effective at working compared to the qr code way.

I ended up using the QR code on my phone although it did mean I had to pull over straight after the gate to put my phone away and adjust harnesses. I liked the idea of some people having their card stuck to a fly swat.

The middle gate has both LHD and RHD card access.
