Good afternoon, after some advice on brakes please.

Our 2016 Cup-s is used for for a mix of standard road use and 4-5 trackdays a year. These tend to be the faster tracks such as donnington in and an annual trip to Spa. Could I ask some advice on front discs and pads. Currently we are running standard discs and pagid racing pads, but the front discs are getting too hot and warping. I have been quoted for a set of two peice tarox discs with new pagid rs pads. Are these a good option or any others? This is coming in circa £1200 fitted.

And advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks in advance

I got 2 piece larger sized discs with bells from Reyland along with caliper spacers. Great bit of kit when used with some good pads and far cheaper than you are being quoted.

Give it a go. Mine have lasted 2 years of thrashing track so far just needing new pads occasionally.

I ran standard discs on my modified 250 (320hp/360lb ft) with CL RC5+ pads in the front/OEM rear, braided lines and ATE fluid and never had any issues. Discs needed replacing after a trip to Spa but they'd been on the car for 12 months and managed 4/5 track days. Pedal was firm all day at Spa.

Personally I don't see the value in two piece discs, I'd just replace standard discs more often for a fraction of the cost. Although I would try Ferodo DS1.11 pads as an alternative to the RC5+ as they might be kinder to discs. Get yourself some Mr Pink pins (find him through Cliosport.net) and they're dead easy to swap in and out with road pads.

Having been through 3 sets of discs I'd strongly disagree. They make 2 piece discs for good reason.
