Hi

I'm based in Kent and am looking for an adventurous activity for my two boys, youngest being 8.

He would love to ride a dirt bike or quad bike. Does anyone know of anywhere here in the SE, or a bit further out, where an 8 year old can participate?

My other lad is 9. I have seen somewhere near Bewl Water that does quad biking but minimum age is 10 but has one quad bike for an 8 year old. I need 2!

Any ideas? Perhaps there's other driving experiences out there for young kids?

Thanks

Diggerland? Not fast "exciting" but they have all sorts of driveable stuff as well as the diggers.

I mean there's always Diggerland if nothing else.

Or this place?

Thanks all. I've thought about Diggerland but am put off by the height restrictions because the kids will want to ride the bigger rides that they are not tall enough to ride on.

Karting might be the way forward - there's a decent one up in Thurrocks. Might explore options with them.

Might have to leave the quad/dirt bikes for a few years.

Don't book through them as their just an agency so book directly with your local place as its cheaper.
If you book somewhere make sure they have small quads that are fit for his age (something like a suzuki lt50) not a small engine with a large frame even some of the 90cc quads have quite a large frame. Our policy is 12 y but small 12 yo are just not physically big enough or strong enough to move the quad around.

My 10 and 7 year old grandkids loved karting. They had their first go ever a few weeks ago.

The kids of course had no problems adapting to left foot braking, as they have never driven a car.
The younger one (girl) had far more natural aptitude than her brother, much to our surprise.
