No but it should be OK. Bedford will allow to static test for free, actually you could also use another MSV facility if it's closer to you. That's your best bet for peace of mind prior to booking although technically you could fail the drive by but the static should give a very good idea of how close you are.

87dB static and asked to avoid using S+ mode.
That's 101 static and 87.5 drive by....I was always close to the limit, even got let on once with 103 on the meter because murky early morning weather conditions were making too many fail.
I never failed the drive by, but it's very easy to see the drive by microphones as they look like WW2 gun emplacements, and just change up to avoid going by on the rev limiter. They are not at max speed and committment points on the circuit.
As said above, you can have the noise level checked for free at any MsV circuit, so long as they have something going on that day. Just call in advance and arrange it. Do remember - noise limits are set by local councils - the MSV boys are all dedicated petrolheads and want to get you on track if at all possible. However, if the drive by gets pinged at Bedford, they do have to explain to the noise nazis at the council what they did about it. To be fair, sound does carry several miles, and people in the UK buy houses on new developments 2-4 miles from race circuits that have been there since 1949, and then complain about the noise........

That happens but your assessment is a little harsh. There were residents near BA before it was there and they should be able to enjoy their property within reasonnable noise emergence constraints. In this instance Bedford Autodrome will soon be a housing development anyway so it's a future ex problem. This is very sad - Bedford is a great location for those of us in the South East, I guess in the current climate it's almost impossible to expect any new course to open up
Agreed, real shame but there should be a replacement soon on the other side of the channel, Laon Autodrome. Even bigger than Bedford.

It still is an option for most of us,
Its only a handful of production cars when compared to the full list that trackday, which will fail. Older and abused GT3 Pork being an obvious one.
For the majority its not a problem and there are plenty of exhaust fabricators around to modify the rest, if the owners really are serious.
