I’ve got a track day at donnington on Monday in my new track car, my old track car was a 106 and had the built in little metal loops front and rear so I never had to remember to fit them.

My question is do I need one in the front and the rear or is a towing eye in just one of them ok?

It’s with MSV and their website isn’t that clear, it says
Towing eyes
Make sure that you know where your towing attachment is are located. Towing eyes need to be fitted prior to sighting laps

Any advice would be much appreciated
Thanks

They will let you run with just one, tons of people only run with one.

That said, if you do bin it and the car won’t drive they will tow the car out of harm’s way however they can. Having one front and one rear is sensible if you can do it, just so that they don’t have to drag it out by attaching to somewhere that might bend.

Their aim will be getting the track up and running again as quickly and safely as possible, avoiding causing further damage to your car by towing it carefully if they can’t get to a tow hook won’t be their priority.

They had to get the manitou out and lift a car with straps front and rear out of the gravel trap at Bedford when I was there. Dont think they would go over the top and rush it causing careless damage.
