Who can tell me more about this Ferrari?

I was driving near Bentwaters yesterday and thought I’d wander in, see what the place is like these days. Drove over the other side and had a quick look at the sorry looking Jags, Phantoms, Harriers etc, then on the way back, at the end of the runway...

I didn’t chat with the driver for long. He said it’s a factory supplied 488 race car that was built for a championship, not a road car at all. He uses it for track days, or treating friends etc like he was here.

I’d just like to know more about it.

You would think it’s fair enough to start a topic about a fairly special car on here even if all the information about it is already available elsewhere. Maybe he’s come across you before and knew what reaction he’d get so went in for the laugh... Youre probably better off just ignoring it.

I copied "488 race car" from the OP, put it into google & the link I posted came up top of the shop with google's customary "About 27,000,000 results (0.43 seconds)".
