Annual Mileage in your Track Car?

I dropped the MINI off for the dreaded test yesterday, which I'm glad to say it passed.

I was surprised to see when reading the certificate I had done around 7,500 miles in it over the last 12 months, it sonly used for track days, the odd car meet and sunny day blasts around the country side. I have a diesel daily that does all the normal stuff (25K + a year).

Anyone else do a surprising number of miles in a dedicated track car?

Generally around 5k/year unless I do 'Ring/Spa.

I'd expect 2-3k a year.

I take the Tube to work, and have a plugin hybrid for dull weekend driving.

10k miles in my dedicated track day car, since Sept 2016. That includes 3 ring trips and a Spa.

ive had the elise 2 years and realised ive done about 2500 miles so far, I still use it most weeks.

had the MXt for three years now and racked up 35,000 smiles, bearing in mind there are four other cars in the garage for fun and a diesel van for work i think this is testament to the joy of driving a charged 5.
Maybe 10-12 trackdays a year included and it is my go to chariot for european holiday hoons..........destination Romania this year

I was so surprised about how few miles I had done in my track/ weekend car in the last year I had to go and check the MOT tester had put the right numbers in!
Despite 3 trackdays, regular weekend use, use all year and not just for summer and going to more car meets than I can remember I have only managed 2-2.5k miles!

Mines insured for up to 5k a year, I don't normally get near that (MX-5) I did this year as some scrote nicked my daily car so I had only the MX-5 for a month but otherwise very low mileage.

I have a Clio 197 i use as a fun car, weekend toy and track car. It racks up around 8-10k a year, i still think using a track car on the road is the best way to prep a car, if you have any issues road use always seems to bring them to light.
