Supercar Experience Provider - Audi R8

Morning all,

A friend would like to experience an Audi R8 as part of her 40th birthday celebration.

Can anybody recommend a supercar experience provider, along the lines of;

• a few laps/minutes in the car - airfield or track etc
• £100-300 budget
• Midlands location preferred

I believe '6th Gear' were the usual recommendation, still the case? Any others?

'6th Gear' has gone into receivership AFAIK.

The best supercar experience provider is Jonathon Palmer at Bedford Autodrome. It's not the cheapest day out, but you get to try several different cars (I'm not sure they have any R8's) and they will encourage you to go as fast as your safely capable of.

I have an R8 and live in the Midlands. I don't mind giving a passenger experience, if this helps.

I did a ferrari plus experience at thruxton a few years ago and really enjoyed it. They do a similar one with the R8

It was included driving laps in

1) mazda 3 MPS
3) boxster
3) ferrari 355
4) Formula Renault

and then a passenger lap in an RX8 with a professional which was mental.

I upgraded online so I got two sessions in the formula renault and an extra passenger lap, both of which were worth it.

it was well organised and as it is a quick circuit with long straights you do get to go for it a bit as long as the instructor gets confident in you so do what they say.

Most kind of you, although I'd happily meet up with a fellow PistonHeader it's perhaps not quite the birthday experience we're looking for - thank you though.
