It's fast, and bumpy.
Don't brake whilst cresting Avon Rise or you'll probably end up in the barrier at Quarry.
Watch out for Tower: a distinct lack of runoff the catch the unwary/unprepared/overly-bold.
Other than that, enjoy it! It isn't a circuit that (in my experience) takes very long to learn.
And the perfect line through Quarry.....?

Be careful on Quarry (i think that's the name, first corner after start-finish) You'll need to brake before and after a small crest.
Have a search through the forums, I've seen a full lap video on here before.
Ha, beaten to the Quarry warning! Nice pi btw

There is a circuit guide with comments hidden away on PH here-
www.pistonheads.com/trackdays/products.asp
Other than that just as Jeremy said, well except that this is surely a better line round quarry

The faster you go the bumpier it gets too. You really get shaken about going through Folly keep your foot in though.
Quarry and Avon Rise - what JC said.
Bobbies (second chicane) comes up really, really fast after the preceding corner (Tower?) but you can always go straight on if you out-brake yourself.
Read the Circuit Guide - it has it all.
Castle Combe - its a bit flat. Fast. Runoff inadequate in places. Fun though.

Dougc- Where did you find that guide for Combe? I've tried searching through the Trackdays website and can't find a link to the guide.
Cheers,
Sean
I just googled Quarry Corner and its the top of the list. I think you have to be a member to access pages with all the other circuits but through the google link I seem to have access to Castle Combe though not any of the others. The books are available in the shop on circuitdriver.com though I can't find them reproduced online.
i love castle combe cos it is really easy to start slow and build up the pace. take it easy for a bit and you will soon be able to hit corners a lot faster than you would have thought possible at the start of the day.
it is a circuit where a nippy but well balanced small car can do well as very hefty cars need to brake alot harder.

I'm there this Saturday, trying not to let the rest of the Japanese followers wreck my car I want to get the video camera inside, but I don't think I will be allowed to.
Saw some racing there recently, and the smaller cars hammered the largers cars (seemed like the lack of run off didn't worry them as much?). A Ginetta G12 mashed a Ford GT40 and the Cobras in its class. The G4s did well too.
Good luck next week!

No photo to hand - but I can guarantee I could show a far far worse line on my last lap (to date) of the circuit. Small tap on the rear quarter and one scrap Ginetta chassis . 95mph to zero in not very much time at all - data trace looks good though .
I still rate this circuit as one of my favourites, but it can bite much harder than most.

My 2p worth (given my limited track day experience).
In addition to Avon/Quarry, I found Camp corner a bit tricky too. It looks a relatively tame corner, but it caught me out (and nuemrous other drivers too). There was plenty of wheel screeching at that corner than I anticipated. Get that corner wrong, and you lose your speed for the straight.

I think the problem most drivers have with Camp is not completely down to carrying too much speed. I think it is that they try to tighten the line on exit rather than letting the car head towards the pit wall. They tug on the steering wheel as the pit wall gets closer and end up tank-slapping down the straight, off into the field, or into the pit wall.
