Had parts off him for my SS1. Mines only a 1.6 CVH but I'd say it's on a par with an mx5 for track use (have one of those too).

A sorted 1800ti would be an absolute weapon.

Turbo technics refurbished roller bearing T25 turbo
Autosprint camshaft
Starter motor replaced
Engine dismantled, all shells, rings, bores and crank good, head was de-coked and pressure tested + skimmed
All cooling hoses and clips replaced
New stainless exhaust system from Graham Walker
New engine mounts
New relocated fuel pump
MK2 gearbox for improved gearshift
Uprated S13 clutch capable of handling the extra power
New gearbox mount
Gearbox oil replaced with proper shock proof gear oil
Replacement differential fitted
Graham walker vented brake disc/ caliper upgrade (massive improvement over the standard setup)
Rear brake shoes and fitting kit replaced
New brake hoses all around and solid brake pipes at the rear replaced
