Red Letter Day Supercar Experience - Best Tracks?
Discussion
Hi all
Mrs roadsmash kindly got me a RLD Supercar Experience for Christmas and we are keen to make the day part of a road trip and weekend away.
Does anyone have any knowledge of any tracks that are close to some nice locations in England/Wales?
Don't worry about which cars have what tracks, I'll review them before committing.
We are willing to travel all over.
Your help is very much appreciated in advance.
Cheers

I don't know who RLD sub the work out to but Everyman run a few days from Oulton, Driveme run from Anglesey with a little more frequency I think.
..... avoid Everyman days like the plague!!! The average driver on a day will probably understand how to drive a car properley, than the muppet sat in the passenger seat!!!Cadwell Park gets my vote as the most interesting track in the UK, but it is 170 miles from London, and you won't go faster than 120.
It is closely followed by Oulton Park, which is in Cheshire, not too far from the M6.
Angelsey is a good track, but its a long way beyond the back of beyond, and the wind comes off the sea like with a bitter cutting edge on all but the best days.
Snetterton is a good track further south, bang on the A11 15 miles south of Norwich. I did my first experience day there and loved it, as it has good long straights and the corners are interesting. It's also not a pain in the bum to get to if you live in the Sarf.
In the Sarf you have Brands Hatch in Kent, Castle Combe just off the M4 in Witshire, and Thruxton in Hampshire.
Silverstone.....well, it has bragging rights

Not sure if it would be included, but I did an Exige day at Thruxton a few years ago and it was great. 2 x 7 laps in the Exige, with 3 laps being driven first and then a flying lap with the instructor I think. Thruxton is great as you can really get some speed up, and at the end of the lap through the last chicane it's a great feeling getting that right and clipping the apex on each side as you go through the chicane onto the start/finish straight. Done track days there too recently.
I've also done track days at Combe and I enjoy that track too, for the same reason, the two chicanes there are excellent when you get it right.
Silverstone, as said, is great for bragging rights. A lot of people don't like it because it's so flat, but I really enjoy it there, going through maggots and becketts is a great feeling too when you get it right and it has some other really nice nice sweeping high speed corners.
