Running a new BBK on my E30 from Compbrake (330mm & 6 pot calipers) but want to replace the Hawk HB-110 pads they supplied. They're OK but lacking in bite and so I want to try some alternatives. Maybe Dixcel or CL? I need a pad that is also suitable for road use, so I know they'll be a bit of a compromise.
Any suggestions / experience?

I use DSUno on the fronts (AP caliper 5001) and DS3000 on the rear as Unos aren't available in the caliper size.
I get them off Ebay (from Italy) but go onto the Ferodo racing pad website and you can hunt the sizes for the car type/caliper or simply do what I did and measure the pad and find one that's the same size but marked up for a different application.

I've not heard of those. Can I ask what car / brakes you used them on?
I was thinking of going Carbon Lorraine but Compbrake didn't have much good to say about them.
I run the Carbon Lorraines in RC5+ flavour. I was thinking of going Carbon Lorraine but Compbrake didn't have much good to say about them.
I really like them. Great initial bite, even when cold. Seem to be able to cope with track day temperatures with no issues. And they seem to be lasting well too. 3 full balls out trackdays and maybe 1500 road miles in, they look barely worn. For the cash, they seem to be good value.
Just thinking about going to RC6 next time, that's all!
i've not much experience with the majority of brands for track use yet.
ran projectMu (HC800 front, NS400 rear) on my FK2 CTR. From what i found out the other week, i may of cooked the fronts and burnt the rears out to compensate - or vice versa.
2nd track day i replaced the ns400's with Dixcel Z's (same HC800's up front) and that combo seemed to work well, but i suspect the HC800's were goosed from the first day - certainly had a hairy moment due to what i think was glazed pads at the start of the 2nd lap - car just didnt stop and ended up through the grass at abingdon.
similar brake issue on the road but no drama, so i've binned the hc800's now. When i removed the pads, they showed glazing again.
I'm currently planning to replace the fronts with RS29's and keep the Dixcels on the rear and see how that fairs.

HC800's aren't really an out an out track pad so they do still suffer from fade if pushed hard enough. The Project Mu Clubracer/Racing777/Racing999 pads are the ones you need for track use.ran projectMu (HC800 front, NS400 rear) on my FK2 CTR. With regards to OP, Pagid RSL29 seems to offer the best performance on track whilst maintaining good cold bite and have relatively "streetable" characteristics when it comes to noise/squeal. PFC 08/Project Mu Clubracers are also great pads, but have noticeable downsides with noise and dust!

The above shows that HB-110 fits this kit and gives the equivalent Pagid part number (1361)
