Spa - 'ring 2019
Discussion
Currently getting everything organised for a weekend at spa 2019, with my brother and fellow PHer jimmy156.
I had a cursor cursory look at how far it is to her to the ring, and it's only an hour and a half from Spa do it seems like a no brainer to me. Only thing is I don't know how the ring works - is it possible to check if the ring is open to the public in a year's time? Will everyone have the same idea and it will be super busy? Is it sensible to drive 120km, maybe 6 ring laps, then be drive 500km home?
All thoughts welcome?

I do Spa combined with the Nurburgring quite a bit since I have a place near London and Brussels. If you want to tick the 'ring box you may as well do it when you're already in Spa. I would stay the night in Nurburg if I were you - driving from Spa to the 'ring, lapping the 'ring and then driving home again is a bit much in my opinion. I can recommend hotels and B&Bs. As regards public days at the 'ring I don't believe they are published yet so you should regularly check the official calendar:

Just try and avoid weekends if at all possible, and public holiday weekends at all costs!

Thanks for the info. I'm poor so trying to keep costs down, hence wanting to not stay another night if I can avoid it! As regards public days at the 'ring I don't believe they are published yet so you should regularly check the official calendar:
