Hi

Just been on track day at Oulton Park and defo need new brake pads and suspect new disks. What’s a good upgrade over oen?

Also interested in coil overs but want adjustable one to soften the ride during normal day use. Suggestions?

Thanks

I use OEM M2 pads in mine and they were fine around the ring

Unfortunately that is not a true comparison as the 'Ring is very easy on brakes as there is lots of distance between braking & actually not many HEAVY braking zones.

I too have used pretty much good quality road pads there but wouldn't dare on a trackday.

It is going to be down to what you can get for the car really.

Try doing some research around:

Pagid RS29.
Ferodo DS Uno.
Ferodo DS1.11.

As a starting point & see what they do for your car, all are good.

Others will be along with their preferences so give others a try too but if you want proper track pads steer clear of:

DS2500
DS3000
Anything by EBC

There are some that will come along & swear by some of these but just don't, trust me I have & you don't want to.

On top of those for the front you can get away with something much less severe for the back as they don't do much on track:

DS2500
Mintex 1144

Are both fine for the rears.

WRT discs stick with good quality new ones to see how you get on, grooved are fine but don't do drilled, they will crack and wear the pads in ridges.

I've a PH friend with an M135i (ACS1 stage 2 tuned) and whilst I can't remember what his suspension and specific brake pad choices are, he's running Yoko ADO8R tyres on std sized rims with about 380-390 bhp & the tyres are really impressive both in dry/wet conditions.
