I am a track virgin and would like to start out getting some instruction on how to drive fast and also track etiquette, any recommendations?

Pretty much every racing track will have a drving school, where are you?

You can look out for trackdays that offer free tuition sessions, seems quite common. You can of course pay for it at other times at the majority of trackdays. That said, at the risk of starting an argument, I've never actually found it that useful but I've only ever had the quick free sessions which seemed geared more to absolute novices with fundamental racing line etc.

I've found the Driver 61 videos and lessons useful for some more advanced tips, google the website and click on Drivers University or just look them up on You Tube. I'd start there. Wouldn't worry too much about track ettiquette either, they'll go over that in the briefing before any trackday and it's pretty easy to understand (despite the fact some people then manage to ignore it!).

PM Steve H, ARDS race instructor, thoroughly nice guy, handy racer and a brilliant instructor.

Normally found instructing on Circuit Days or Opentrack trackdays but will happily do full day tuition as well.
