I am thinking of booking my first track day for Sept / Oct at Donington (because it's close to home).

The plan is to hire an instructor for a couple of hours.

Any recommendations for how to go about this, or shall I just pick the operator that runs on a convenient day for me and use them?

Many thanks.

Donnington is a great track and the place is a very professional set up...how about choosing a novice day and paying for instruction on the day...I think The likes of javelin charge £20 for 20 mind

Been looking at this as a birthday gift for someone - worthwhile?

Totally recommended,

If it's your first time at the track, it might be a bit overwhelming to have an instructor during your very first stint.

However, my advice is to book two tuition sessions, one first thing in the morning, and the other one after lunch. So he can give you few tips on the lines and then judge your progress and give you further advice.

You'll love it!

Expand on what you are thinking of buying them.
What car do they have, or are you looking at Book-a-track Caterham hire?
