was a good day

I booked a 330pm slot but got there a little late so went on the 4pm slot which was better as there was only 3 of us on this slot the 330pm 1 was packed !

the signing on chat was ok , the chap doing the chat was probly a tad tired being the hottest day of the year kept getting hes words muddled up and was abit vague on circuit advice , then he moved onto the extras of the day which i got sucked into probly spent 4x what the original voucher cost

so 1st i went out in a brand new m3 saloon as a passenger for a few hotlaps and to get a feel of the day and how it runs ,the 2 quick laps we done held up alot by people driving round and waiting for them to indicate before we went past them which was on the left or right , when i done the formula master 10 years ago you could only pass on the left which seemed to work alot better, anyway that cost me an extra £25 the new m3 was lovely though

next my 14 year old went out for 3 laps in a Lamborghini Super Trofeo ! car looked like it was on rails compared to everything else on track , my lad couldnt speak for 5 mins when he got out was buzzing, hes smile was priceless , he loved it, that was an extra £50 notes

then i got in the cue to drive 1 of the 3 supercars that my birthday voucher was for i choose a nissan gtr ferrai calfornia and a lambo hurrcaine lambo £40 upgrade! waited in the cue for the gtr got down to 2nd in the cue then got told there stopping now for a break! come back in half an hour, 1 hour later they started again we was now in the evening session ! most of the instructors had gone home now and half the cars were getting loaded onto the lorry , i finally got my turn in the gtr done 3 laps and the instructor was pretty good let me push on in it , done another 2 laps extra in it for £25 car has some serious trcation control issues coming down into paddock hill bend, loved the car though a real beast and easy to drive

next i drove the california , i could floor this down into paddock hill and had no tc cutting in could really feel the grunt , instructor was great again and he made me feel like he was happy for me to push on in it

the hurricane was a very tight fit for me , being 6ft and nearly19 stone! but i was getting in that thing ! they moved the seat about to squeeze me in was very coszy me head was bent to the left as it was bent touching the roof , fires the beast up and wow was like a spaceship , on booting it down into paddock the noise was amazing massive grin on my boat race, defo the quickest car so far , on flooring it along the straight i was blown away by the noise , amazing car

last out me and my boy went out as a passengers in atom and the instructors passed each other every bend for a few laps , jesus them atoms are quick was great fun £59 extra , my lad loved it

in all a great day as it was last minite.com drove some cars that i probly never will again and that noise from the hurricane was unreal ,my fav was the california as was the most comfortable for me , my las said the atoms were hes fav

Sounds good.

Unfortunately the 1/2 hour break may have been mandated by the circuit to help mitigate constant noise issues.

Glad the instructors let you push on.

I went on one of these supercar drives, and wasn't that satisfied as the one I went to wouldn't let me take it out third gear . plus the cars where in a bad state. I did this in bovingdon near hemel Hempstead hertfordshire

All the regular instructors said the brands hatch was the best venue that they go to , he said the airfields they go to are no good for the cars as to bumpy and the cars shake to bits , he also said that goodwood is reslly good venue that they visit

it is drift limits that operate from bovington not supercar drive days. supercar drive days are super professional and use ARDS qualified professional, licenced & insured instructors.
