Track day then track evening on the same day
Discussion
Simple question really - I'm a bit of a track noob, so never considered this before, but is it wise or unwise to book a track day and then, at the same circuit, a track evening? I'm considering 6th August at Snett for both sessions - mainly as a mate can only make the evening session, but I don't think just 2.5 hours will be enough for me.
Is this a daft idea?

on track days I generally let people fly out in the morning and then when they come in I go out. Take it easy in the day and mid afternoon most go home so in the last few hours of the day get some of the best lapping and clear lapping possible. At Anglesey the other month me and my mate had it to ourselves for a hour and a half was brilliant.
For myself, a day is enough, but a lot depends on how much time you spend out, how fit / rested you are and what your car is (i.e. how hard work it is). If you don't need to extract every last minute out of the day, could be worth doing the afternoon and evening. You'll have to pay for all day obvs, but doesn't mean you have to drive it..
Thanks chaps...
Yes, the noise limit at Snett drops to 102 for evenings - I got on at Bedford on a 101 day without issues (I'm 95.5 static, roughly), so should be OK. The briefing would indeed be during the last of my track time for the afternoon and I wonder if I'd be better off just driving to the flag as it were, and then sticking about for a bit to see my mate.
The car's a VX220 - on a hot day it's a fairly warm place to be in jeans and sleeves so I might welcome the chance to cool off and just watch for a bit.

Evening, have found MSV helpful with allowing me to do an afternoon session at half price, and then do an evening trackday(at the same track of course).Just ring and talk to them, especially if its not full daytime, afternoons are quieter, good for practice for hot sessions in the evening. Will be doing this again at Cadwell in early September, but doing Blyton the day before.
