That was excellent, even better than in April!
Gentlemen, thanks for all the rides!
JeremyC, Cerbera 4.5
PetrolTed, everlasting S4C
SixSpeed, Tuscan S - much better noise without the cans!
Beaver, 996 GT3 - I felt like playing Gran Turismo while holding your video camera
...and of course my Great Friend Donald "Doc McSideways" - each corner in your Chimaera is such a marvellous mess to experience!
Hats off to Rob who apparently didn't mind thrashing his GT2 monster just as if it were a Nova!
Cheers everybody!
And thank you for the PH shirt, Ted

Just got back, a big thanks has to go to Adam for not crashing or breaking down once.
Sorry we didn't stick around to join today's fun but I was feeling a bit under the weather this morning. I don't know why, must be something I ate or drank last night.
I think Adam felt the same but we were both unable to talk all day so I'm not sure. Perhaps it was the horse paté they gave us in the Beef Gardener?
Anyway, I have to second Thom in saying a big thankyou to everyone I blagged rides with, the grin factor was superb.
The rides I blagged are:
Adam's GTIR
Martin's 911 GT3
Mr Trilby's Superlight
Matt's Elise (Sideways Special Edition)
Richard's Tuscan
Sean's Skyline R34
and of course Richard's AMG Folembray Taxi
I wish I'd had the guts to go out on track in Sideways Satan's GT2 now, but it's easy to say that from the relative safety of my sofa.
It was great to meet all of you and your partners although it was a bit of a shock to hear Carzee rant without the aid of smilies. I had to imagine the whenever he made a quip. Very strange.
Well done and thanks to Ted and Bookatrack for organising such a great weekend, I'll definitely bring my car to the next one. Get the pictures and videos online everybody, I wanna see 'em!
Bonce

Hey CarZee, can't see any pictures of you rolling on the floor!
No, but there should be a few of CarZee spinning off the track at various points
Thanks to all for a brilliant weekend, much fun ,wine, petrol and adrenaline all led to a fantastic time. Top stuff.
The book a track Caterham was a giggle - totally different to any of my previous cars but very educational to drive. Back to skool for smifffy.
Serge the squirrel is now learning English at the CarZee hospitality suite - I think you'll all be seeing him again at the PH meets
Now then, GTIR - About your mother......

I wonder if there's a corrolation between those who ate the 'pate' and those who were rough this morning...
I had a definite hangover this morning, but not a type one - more a hairy tongue and fuzzy brain.
On the topic of Serge, here he is about to do a hatchet job on some teddy-bear...
and here's one of him giving Mr Tony's Folembray Taxi a quick check over..
and one of him TWOCing someone's bike...

Fantastic weekend, much fun. Great to meet you all and thanks go to Ted (and Bookatrack!) for organising a top do, and for making sure the sun shone.
Special metions from me go to :
Ted, for saving the GT2 from an out of control Folembray taxi with no brakes
James and his knowlege of AMG brake systems!
Jeremy,Mark and Gary for the Cerb rides and advice on lines.
Rob in the GT2 for the advice on the lines and not noticing the taxi reversing at the GT2....
Bonce for laughing his head off during his Taxi ride.
Oh, and Ted again for the T-Shirt and recognising my 'green' credentials.
CarZee for all the red wine, I owe you a mate..
Photos tomorrow...

Nope. The correlation is between people who were still fresh from a days lazy drive round the circuit, and so could stay up until 3am drinking French beer
I had the pate, and an early night, and felt fine this morning
James (lightweight)
Top weekend: many thanks to PetrolTed and BookaTrack.
I also like to thank everyone who took part - I thought that the standard of driving was exceptional and the courtesy shown on track impeccable. It really showed how much fun these days can be.
Oh, and thanks to the Caterham boys for the passenger rides. Now where did I put that cheque book.....

204!!!!
And I though I was pushing it at only 75% of that into Belguim this am..
Seriously thinking about moving to France, more road, less cars, better lane discipline and the food, and the cheap petrol, the red wine and ...........
I think sitting on the M25 doing 40mph while numpties dithered about which lane to do 40mph in really got to me...

Sometimes it's better just not to look. I certainly wouldn't want to be the one to give myself the bad news
jeez I was doing mortgage calculations in my head!
still the brain quickly said a parking brake + warped discs would be the sensible option. Luckily they're fine now, if just a little low...

A big thank you to everyone for coming, it was another extremely successful trip. Track courtesy was once again impeccable despite the varied machinery out there. Definitely more to come.
If someone could return my memory it would be appreciated. It was lost sometime between 12 and 3am in the reception area.
