Any recommendations for the above, the more compact the better, car (E30) weighs just over a ton and sits very low.

Thanks in advance.

I can recommend this..,

Not sure how low your car is but this gets under a 911.

This is excellent, long reach, quick lift, and ultra low entry. The t-handle with knob presure release is pretty good too.

However, not cheap, and requires a fairly smooth floor to move it around.

Machine mart do occasionally do 'no vat' offers

Thanks

Halfords are selling quite a small one for £35. I bought it as a spare and it's not had trouble getting under anything. Probably not as low as a more expensive one though.

From those above, I'd go for the Clarke. The others don't look to have long enough reach to get on the front chassis rail of an e30 without fouling the sill.

Will it be living in a garage or going out with you? If track days etc don’t forget to compare the weights. Some of the chunky steel ones are very heavy.
