Hi CABC.

I haven't been on a track day of theirs but did pop along and say hi at their last event at Rockingham. John (who looks after their cars) also builds and prepares mine plus a few others outside of the track day side of things (www.facebook.com/lanciadeltaracing)

There are usually 8 drivers at the event shared between with 3 cars and instructors. The morning is usually spent in the lower powered cars rotating around with most sessions being around 10 to 15 minutes long (depending on the driver). There is no rev limit and the ARDS instructors encourage drivers to push the cars to the limit, improving skills, lines and technique along the way. If you have ever been at a Palmer Sport event, it is effectively a lower budget version than that but only circuit stuff. When I was there everyone was spent at the end of the day and felt like they had a great day’s driving.

The cars are all current or ex race cars with semi-slick tyres, competition suspension and such like. I raced one of the cars they usually use a few weekends ago at Snetterton: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV93UyGtH5g and it is me chatting to John in the vid.

In the afternoon it is more of the same but with the introduction of the quicker car to those who are driving competently, are not being too aggressive and feel capable to go up a level.

John is with us racing at Silverstone next weekend, feel free to come along and say hi.

^ thanks
i've booked.
i love Palmer, but relish the idea of simpler, race prepped cars for longer. i'll learn a lot more.
