Fancy learning how to drift? You can learn the art of drifting in your car or use one of the Drift Academy's specially prepared fleet of Mazda MX-5s.

Come to the Level 1 Drifting Course at Donington Park and the Academy will teach all the techniques used by professional drift drivers, with a competition at the end of the day marked on style and how sideways you can get.

When: Thursday 28 April

Price: £199.00 using your car; £299.00 using Drift Academy car

What is the Drift Academy?

Drift Academy is a new UK-based service which exists because of the growth in interest of this new sport in the UK.

It aims to provide information, resources and help to anyone who wants to get involved in drifting as a participant or spectator.

One of its main objectives is to ensure that drifting is promoted and organised in such a way that the general public and media appreciate not only the entertainment value of top level drifting, but also that learning how to drift properly can make a driver safer and more aware.

Drift Academy works in partnership with venue owners and operators to ensure that all our events are run in complete safety, at suitable venues only and with minimal environmental impact.

That looks like such a laugh...

Hmmmmn. £299 isn't bad either for a day trashing someone else's tyres!

Its well worth doing Don.

Judas, Ace-T, TrackDemon and I all did the first Autocar day and apart from not getting much time in the car it was hilarious if a little tiring.

have done one of these days

thought in car time was preety good as there wernt too many other people on our particular day (6 odd i think)

Would probably use their cars, as the car and tyres take a fair bit of punishment

definitely recommended both from a fun and learning point of view.
Its amazing how much people progress over the day.
