Bunker F1 Race Boots

Hi All
I had an impulse buy around 2 years ago on eBay and bought these driving boots.
They fit me superbly and are great for heal and toe. Also good support for my smashed up rebuilt ankles. I use them all the time now instead of my modern stuff.
Does anybody know anything about them, history etc. I think they may date back to the 60’s?
Google reveals nowt?
