moi. I'd recommend (if you live a little way away) booking the Queens head hotel via laterooms.com (£40 a night)

RMA now operate Airline pricing. So if they don't have many places left, expect to pay through the nose

Your tyres will be shot before the end of the day. Bedford is very fast and particulsrly hard on tyres and brakes. I think that RMA provides tyre support at Bedford but you'd better check. Make sure your brake pads have plently of meat in them and preferably change your fluid to Castrol Response or similar. There will be half an hour familiarisation at 9.00am for you to learn the track. book 1/2 hour instruction when you sign on. make sure your crash helmet is in good order, check your mirrors regularly ESPECIALLY approaching the braking zone because you will be braking a while before a quick driver so the closing speeds will be high.

Have fun.

They were checking on the way in last time I was there. Atltanta Motosport are there and they carry some noise reduction options!

track-club will be there with some cars available for hire by the session.

dean - it has got a tubi but i did a drive by test at bedford the other week and it came out at 84db i think, anyhow they said it was ok - i took it for a test at castle coombe and at their static test is was 112db ! miserable failure ! bedford said if you fail the static then you get a red sticker and as long as the drive by reading are ok you can stay on track...........i hope ! does everyone get insurance? is it necessary on a track like bedford? i am getting quotes like £500 for £70k of insurance which would make it an expensive day, but with cover only beyond £7,000 excess is it worth it, guess it is if you have a 'big off' !?

I always get insurance. I'm with Classic line and they charge me £100 per event but I figure it's pretty good value if they pay out £35K after the excess.
Although Bedford is very safe, I've seen an F40/50 catch fire and an MX5 spin into a GT3 that was stationary in the pit lane.
I had a power steering pipe leak while at bedford which merely smoked but if it had gone up (and it could have happened anywhere) would I have been insured without telling them and paying the extra? Doubt it.
