I've tried to get a road insurance policy which covers a few track days a year, so far I've spoken with Henderson Taylor, Pace Ward, Locktons and Competition Car Insurance but none of them will cover me because I do over 4000 miles a year.

They've all said their policies are for people with 4th or 5th cars.

Has anyone managed to get a road policy with track cover at reasonable mileage?

A second vote for Mannings.

10k miles a year road mileage limit and unlimited track day cover.

How does their price compare to the regular insurers found on comparison websites?

I'll call them tomorrow.

The Mannings Policy was the same price as a normal road policy and one-off cover for two track days. As I was planning on doing more than two track days the Mannings policy was much more cost effective.

Obviously everybody's circumstances are different but:
38 years old
9 years NCB
No points or accidents.
2008 Audi R8 - Valued at Approx £45,000

Policy was £705.

Greenlight do this, i think its an extra 30-40 per day, you just ring up and PAYG. No good if you have BM tho as they blanket wont touch them.
