Delaminated Tyres warning
Discussion
My humble apologies to the forum and it’s moderators for not complying with forum rules in my previous post. It was an innocent attempt to prevent others from suffering my fate. Not any intent to offend anyone.
Anyway, I bought these tyres brand new, I cannot tell you where in the U.K. I bought them or the retailers identity.
But in just a few sessions from brand new, these tyres de-laminated at Castle Combe. Not a good place to have this happen at high speed.
This was my attempt at using cheap tyres for track days never again. I bought them on line, there was no mention on the website that these are remoulds. But they are, you can see the tread marks of the original road tyre under the outer remould.
I am not going to suggest people be aware, I just wanted you to see what happened when I tried to use a budget Motorsport tyre.
I hope I haven’t broken any forum rules this time.

I always thought all these "rally tyres" were remoulds?
The tyre (re-)manufacturer's website certainly starts off with the words "<Brand> has been producing “remanufactured Competition Tyres” for over 20 years..."
I rather suspect that the manufacturer will point out that they're intended for tarmac special stages, and not for track use, and that they've been overheated.

Can’t say what make or who supplied them or I will breach forum rules.
Maybe provide a small cryptic clue..?Though I agree with the point that these tyres likely aren't intended to stand up to full-on track sessions.

Circa £70 each new for 18” wheels
So about 50% less than a proper track tyre.I have considered buying these tyres previously, but decided on 2nd hand Yokohama's instead.
You get what you pay for and Castle Combe has got some high speed high load corners like Camp and Tower that would have tested these to the limit.
Shame you are not allowed to give a review its factual evidence no reason why a consumer should not show what happened.
Naming and shaming would be for the retailer I imagine, if issues with a particular tyre couldn’t be discussed there would be a hell of a lot of disappearing threads on here.
Looking at the tread pattern it would appear they are sold as “perfect for track day events” but they’ve clearly failed big time, maybe they overheated or the pressures were very wrong, or the load rating was wrong, or it was just a manufacturing defect. Scary stuff.
What did the tyre manufacturer say?

Looking at the retailer's page, it doesn't mention trackdays - only rally stages.
It also says in the "About <manufacturer>" tab that they have been "re-manufacturing" tyres for years.
There's a 2014 user review that mentions track days - and gives them one star, due to high noise levels and low grip. Another (5*) review mentions track days, while a third (5*) review says that the medium compound "overheats and rips up" less than the soft.
