Best way to link a front and rear Go pro?

What's the best way to link the footage from a front facing and rear facing GoPro?

Can I link the cameras with a lead whilst filming the footage or do I need an editing software that allows me to link the footage easily afterwards?

I set both to the exact time, pair them via WiFi to the remote and press record on the remote before each session, perfectly synced.

Clap loudly with your hands at the start of the recording and then sync the sound with your video editing software?

Thanks both. One is a Go pro Hero 2 so no wifi or phone linking for Apps. The other a Hero 4.

I was hoping there was some sort of cable that could link them but I guess not and it is a case of trying to sync in some kind of suitable editing suit?
