My son is utterly obsessed with Lamborghini and I have often fancied a track day or 'supercar experience' so I wondered whether I could roll that into a fun dad/son day out. Trackdays do a 'father & son driving thrill' but that seems to be geared towards young teenagers actually driving the car. My son is 10 so there's understandably zero chance of him being able to drive (thank christ), but he'd love to be a passenger, particularly if it was in a Lambo. I thought I'd give Trackdays a call, but does anyone know of an experience that would allow a 10 year old as a passenger?

Cheers smile

I know of no "experience day" that would let you take your Son out in a car such as a Lambo, however lots do a "fast lap" with an instructor as an additional item, so maybe they MIGHT allow him with your instructor after the signing of a disclaimer, I don't know.

Wait until next year he can drive a lambo at 11 if he's 4ft 10! What an awesome birthday gift that would be.

He's pretty small... 4'10" by next birthday is probably unlikely without a serious growth spurt. You're right though... what a gift!

It's not quite the same but Mercedes Benz world do AMG passenger laps which would give him the thrill.

How about the "On your Marks" charity event in September at Bruntingthorp. Lots of supercars amongst the stuff you can ride in. It's no longer being run under the auspices of ASDA and it's been opened up to the general public (was ASDA employees only before)

Like the sound of that. A nice story too.
