My experience (and footage) from Cadwell 20/7/17

Track: Cadwell Park
Conditions: Wet until ~3pm, dry for last couple of hours
TDO: Circuit Days
This is my second time at Cadwell - my first time there was the first track day I did in my S2000 after I bought it, so it was nice to go back again and exploit everything I've learned about the car over the last 6 or so track days I've done in it.
Frustrating start to my day however, I picked up a puncture (from a tiny sharp stone of all things) just before entering the track, so had to get this sorted before I could go out. Thankfully it only cost me about an hour at the start of the day, there were a couple of tyre shops close to the track and the puncture was centre tread and easily repairable. The day started out really wet, even raining more heavily over the lunch break to the point of significant standing water on Park Straight and the start/finish straight. Nearly aquaplaned off at 50mph at one point, very sketchy.
However, I had a great day. I really enjoy slithering about, and liked the challenge of learning some decent wet lines to carry some good speed. The last couple of hours were fantastic though, very minor remaining damp and people were really starting to pound round. It's probably my favourite track bar the 'Ring, it really is a mini version. There's lots to keep you interested and different lines/gears etc to learn to really try and carry good speed. It's fantastic, if you haven't been, go.
Finally a shout to Darren and the rest of the team at Circuit Days. This is the second TD I've done with them and probably my favourite. Extra points for good pricing and included photos - of which I probably had about 20. These are then emailed to you the same evening! Great service all round.
