Exploring tracking my 991.1 - any advice on insurance? Was suggested Mannings which cover trackdays per normal policy at 10% excess of vehicle value with a minimum of £1,500. Sounds ok - should I try elsewhere?

Appreciate any guidance.

Is this policy track only or cover road use as well?

Road as well; I've used them in the past - very good.
I'm currently with Mannings on my 991 GT3
I wanted more than 5 trackways a year that CCI offer
plus, I have an agreed value

I used Insure My Trackday (http://www.insuremytrackday.com/) to insure my Boxster on a trackday. The policy was a Hiscox one if I recall correctly.

Very easy to arrange online, and fortunately I haven't had to claim, so I can't comment on that part.

If you (want to) do more than 1 trackday a year, Mannings is the way forward. A little more expensive than mainstream insurers, but cost balances out after 1 trackday! Plus, you don't even need to tell them you're attending one (as long as it's run by an ATDO member!)!

I have my 997s covered by Mannings as well, I think I get 10 days a year included in the cover.

All you have to do is check that the TDO is a member of the ATDO as far as I know.

Here is the link to find out is the Organizer is on it.
