My normal go to company, Moris, don't seem to be offering trackday insurance at the moment.

Can anyone suggest any decent alternatives?

Thanks

I insure my car for on the road with Greenlight, they let me "top up" for trackdays at £45 each, and my excesses double for the time on track.

I'm with Henderson and Taylor which gives me 6 European track days a year included with the policy. With my Elise the excess becomes 10% of the agreed value of the car.

Oh, that's annoying - I've been using them for a number of years, as the guy who organises my charity days knows someone in their business and recommended them.

Try www.insuremytrackday.com as they seem to be incredibly reasonable whilst offering a sensible amount of cover. Underwritten by Hiscox too, or my policy with them for next weekend is at least.

Also drawn a blank with Moris (no clear explanation), so given these a try, thanks for the link.

I've just had the same problem with Moris.

Tried insuremytrackday and they were 2x the cost of the Moris quote last year.

Does anyone else have any other recommendations....

Adrian Flux will only cover up to £45,000......

I've had a better quote from Mannings for 12 months cover with track days included than my current insurer who does not cover trackdays. Not only that but it was also less than a single days cover from insuremytrackday.com

It's worth giving them a call!!

Also used to use Morris until this year and they no longer seem to be able to help, have since used both sky insurance (don't need to be regular policy holder) and also insure my track day, both better customer service than Morris but more exspencive by around 35℅.

Exactly this!!!

Just took out an annual road and trackday policywith Manning for less than the price of my previous road only policy. Saved plenty of £££ for a 1 off trackday insurance from insurmytrackday.com also.

As said, give Manning a call if you're a 'good risk' like I obviously am yes

Just be aware that many track day insurance policies specifically exclude Castle Combe due to the number of claims generated by Quarry and Camp.

Thanks for all the replies.

I ended up using Keith Michaels for trackday insurance. They don't advertise it on their website, so you have to call them. They were the cheapest by far for me, quoting me £60 for the day at Mallory Park in a Clio 200, with a 10% excess. The chap I spoke to said that most policies come in somewhere around £50- £70 per day.

Is that with a main policy?

Another vote for Mannings here. UK trackdays included. They'll also cover the Nurburgring, but that's extra - understandably...

Yes, I have a main road car policy with them and I can then get trackday cover for an additional £35 for each trackday.
