Been a while, new car, Z3 2.8 - tyres and brakes
Discussion
Hello
It's been ages since I was on the track day section, I have had a saxo VTR, loved it, grew out of it.
Then a Clio 172, stunning car, easy to drive but keen on tyres and brakes, killed the engine (replaced) then gearbox to gave up.
Then Z3 1.9 as I break them as a hobby, got one with ST coilovers so tracked it, great fun, just lacked 'grunt'.
So here we are with a 2.8 on B12 Bilstien/eibach suspension, other than that standard.
Thinking breaks and tyres mainly. My clio loved DS2500 brakes but they didn't last long, tyre wise I've had Nankang NS-2r and been happy, but Federal RSR, Toyo Proxes etc. seem good.
My main question is brakes..... recommended?
Thanks
p.s. will be at Lydden on 18th March if anyone else is going?
